Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championships 2012

Earlier this morning Coach Eric Marentette and Adam 'Smitty' Baillargeon left for California where they will be competing in the Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championships.  The 'Pans' is the second biggest jiu-jitsu tournament, after the World Championships and is one of the most prestigious tournaments held.  Competition will be fierce and the schedule will be action packed.

Starting on Thursday Adam 'Smitty' Baillargeon will compete in the Adult Blue-Belt division.  Later in the week, on Saturday, Coach Eric Marentette will take the mats against Purple Belts. Also on Saturday Dante Leon will attempt to defend his championship win from last year.

Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu will be sending a total of 110 competitors which makes it the 4th largest team in the tournament. RJJA competitors will coached by Chris Blanke (Toledo/Detroit) and headlined by Rafael Lavato Jr (Oklahoma City).  Also making the trip down to California from RJJA Midwest are John Walus (Detroit) and Danny Agemy (Detroit).

Good luck to all RJJA competitors. Results will be posted as they become available.
